Shopping for medical scrubs online is completely different than shopping for scrubs at a store. For one, you can’t touch the fabric or try the scrubs on. The perk to shopping online is you can essentially be at 5 stores at the same time. You can browse different sites to see what scrub styles are available.

Try to find images that show the scrubs on a model. This will show you the details: like how long the top is, what the scrunching at the back will do to the scrub overall, etc. This will give you a better idea of what the top will look like on than a shot of just the scrub. If there is only an image of the scrub top, there will most likely be a sizing chart that can really help determine what size scrub to get.

Another great feature of many websites, including Scrubs123, is product reviews. This is a great resource to determine if scrubs tend to run large or small and how durable the product truly is.

Shopping online is convenient and a great way to find a fantastic deal! With these tips, you will be sure to find scrubs that fit and you love from the comfort of your own home.

With hundreds of different styles, colors and brands to pick from, choosing the best scrubs for you can seem daunting. Here are our tips to help make the process easier.

1. Go to a scrubs store. Go in and touch the different materials, see the different brands and try on the scrubs you are interested in. This is the best way to really get a feel for what scrubs fit and to figure out sizing for a particular brand. Once you have figured out what brands you like and the size you would be, you can go online to see their entire product offering. Going online will allow you to take advantage of deals that are happening weekly on different sites.

2. Try a variety of brands. Trying different brands will help you determine how durable the scrubs are, how long the color lasts before fading and how it feels after a couple of washes.

3. If you are planning on mixing and matching scrubs, be sure to stay within one brand as colors can vary between brands. For example, Medline's Ceil Blue might be one tint lighter than the Cherokee's Ceil Blue. If you get the same color from two brands, you risk the chance that your outfit will not look well.

Nursing uniforms have come a long way since the traditional dress and cap of the late 1800’s. Now we have a variety of styles, colors and even fabrics to choose from. The most popular fabric is a polyester cotton blend. A vast majority of scrubs are made with these two materials. They both have qualities that are needed in the medical industry: strength and comfort.

Cotton is a soft comfortable material. It also can absorb moisture easily which can help keep your skin dry. Polyester on the other hand is extremely durable material and it is stretchy which is great since nurses have to be able to move quickly and sometimes in odd ways to get the job done! Scrub manufacturers have played around with different ratios of both these materials for optimal scrubs. The standard is 65% Cotton/ 35% Polyester. If you do sweat, or tend to get messy during your shift, this is a great blend to have. The higher cotton ratio means your scrubs will absorb more moisture away from your body. Our ComfortEase line is made with this blend. Check them out here.

If you don’t really sweat, then a higher polyester blend might work better for you. A scrub that is 55% Cotton/ 45% Polyester gives you the durability you want as well as it’s a stretchy material that allows you to move easily in the garment. Try our AngelStat line made with this poly-cotton blend!

What fabrics do you like the most for your scrubs? If you don’t know, the best way is to try different fabric type scrubs. Go to the clearance section of scrubs sites and get some scrubs that are extremely discounted. This way if you don’t like a certain fabric type, you haven’t wasted much money on it!

When people ask for tips on being a nurse one of my biggest suggestions is shoes! While this might not be everyone’s first tip, I have realized over the years the importance of having supportive, durable shoes. I remember those few times over the years where I thought I could get away with wearing the cheap $10 shoes from the department store. About 5 hours into my shift and my feet were aching, my back was starting to hurt and I was miserable which others could see.

I will never let that happen again. I will buy clearance scrubs, cheap watches and hair bands, but when it comes to my shoes, I will spend the big dollars. And they are worth every penny! My feet are happy, which makes me happy and people notice that!

I have been a pediatric nurse for just about thirty years. I have seen all the changes to the nurse’s uniform and I have tried my fair share of different kinds of scrubs. I have found my favorite with the Medline AngelStat scrubs. These scrubs are dependable, last long, fit well and have many different styles & colors to choose from.

Working with children I need lots of pockets for all my equipment as well as some of the distractions I have when a child needs to get a shot. My go to pants are the Cargo pants with the Elastic Waist. They fit well and I know they won’t slide with the elastic waist. I also like that the pockets are on my thighs so it is easier for me to access the things I have in my pockets. For my uniform, I usually stick to the same pants (I have probably 10 pairs of these cargo pants and a few others). As for the shirts, this is where I go a little crazy so to speak.

I love all the print options I have to choose from with the AngelStat brand. Personally, I am a bit more conservative so I don’t go for the lower v-neck cut shirts. However I love the 898 Bunnies & Bears tops. It certainly helps to be working with children because I can get away with wearing these cute tops. I love that the pockets are pretty hidden behind the designs and my patients and co-workers think it’s a great design!

When the office gets chilly I have my trusty AngelStat warm up jacket to keep me warm. It has pockets as well and the fabric moves easily so I have full motion of my arms to continue to do my job effectively. I love my scrubs almost as much as I love my job! I am so happy I have found these scrubs. Now, when I am shopping I am not worrying about how long these scrubs will last or if they are dependable. I focus on style & color choices which are a whole heck of a lot more fun!

With scrubs you can have as many or as few pockets as you can dream of. The standards are usually 1-4 pockets on a scrub top. For pants, it can go up to 7 pockets! How do you know which garment to pick? Some nursing professions need all the different pockets while others have hardly anything they need to carry on them at all times.

If you are dentist or dental hygienist chest pockets on your tops are not necessary. Since there is so much bending required, it would be almost dangerous to carry many things because something could fall onto the patient. A great option for tops would be the 8800 series. It has many different print designs as well as solid colors. It has two pockets near the waist to hold something temporarily like tissues or a cell phone.

For a nurse working with children, you may need some more pockets to hold all your equipment. Something like the 4256s V-neck would be ideal to keep the pens, cell phone, lollipops & medical equipment organized and easily accessible.

Prefer to have your pockets on your pants? There are plenty of places to have those as well! Again, each profession will require a different placement. You can get pants on the back, the sides and the front of the scrubs.

One of our favorite scrub pants would have to be the ComfortEase Unisex Cargo Pants with Drawstring. These pants have three pockets to carry all the daily items a nurse might have. Two of the pockets are on the sides of the scrub pants which allow for easy access, and are deep so they can carry the bulky items such as highlighters/ sharpies or treats for your well behaved patients (perfect for nurses who work in pediatrics!)

Not only do these pants have lots of space to store things, they feature a four panel construction for added durability. These scrub pants are also comprised of 65% polyester and 35% cotton to give you a comfortable pant that has minimal shrinking and the color won’t fade. These scrub pants are available in regular length and tall length (35” inseam). This pant can be paired with the 910 reversible top or the ComfortEase Women’s Tunic top (8851).

The Medline Comfortease line is one of our most popular brands. With over 34 jackets, tops & pants there is a wide selection to pick from. One reason these are so popular is because they have minimal shrinkage due to their 65% Polyester/ 35% Cotton blend.
